Care for the whole person.
Recovery rarely fails for lack of willpower. It fails when one part of a person's life is treated and the rest is left as it was. Our model, developed by Solace over more than a decade, plans care across four dimensions at once.
Body. Mind. Relationships. Meaning.
Body
BiologicalMedical review and oversight throughout the stay. Sleep, nutrition and movement are treated as clinical priorities, not extras, because a body that is exhausted cannot do the work of recovery.
Mind
PsychologicalIndividual therapy to understand the thoughts, moods and patterns that keep a problem in place, and to build the skills that replace them. Low mood, anxiety and trauma are treated alongside, never left for later.
Relationships
SocialFamily sessions, group work and preparation for the people and pressures waiting at home. Recovery that survives the return to ordinary life is built with the people in it.
Meaning
SpiritualFaith, values and purpose, in whatever form they take for each guest. We work respectfully within Malaysia's many traditions and never impose one.
Therapy matched to the person, not the other way round.
The assessments made on arrival lead to a diagnosis, and the diagnosis decides the therapy. We draw on a range of modalities and combine them where a guest's needs call for it.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy
Builds on what already works and the future the person wants.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
The link between thoughts, feelings and actions, and how to change it.
Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy
Challenges the rigid beliefs that keep distress and old habits in place.
Motivational Interviewing
Helps a person find their own reasons to change.
Trauma-focused therapy
Past experiences treated at a safe pace, alongside recovery work.
Integrated treatment
Dependence and mental health treated together, in one plan.
Structure with evidence behind it.
Delivered by clinicians trained in them.
The Matrix Model
A structured programme combining individual and group therapy, family education and relapse prevention. One of the most studied approaches for stimulant and substance recovery.
Family systems work
Sessions with the people closest to the guest, because families recover too, and because they are often the ones who make the difference afterwards.
Mindfulness and wellness
Movement, breath, rest and time outdoors. Simple practices that steady the body and give the mind somewhere to return to.
Medical support
Physician and psychiatric oversight for the whole stay, including where medication is part of a safe recovery.

Built for Malaysian life.
Solace was the first private residential recovery centre in Malaysia and remains locally owned and led. Care is offered in English and Bahasa Melayu, with Mandarin, Cantonese and Tamil available, and our clinicians understand the families, faiths and workplaces our guests return to.
A multidisciplinary team.
Psychologists, counsellors, medical officers and recovery support staff, with psychiatric input from our advisory board. Every guest has a named lead clinician who is responsible for their plan from arrival to aftercare.
One conversation is enough to start.
Call, message or write to us. You will speak with a member of our admissions team, not a call centre. Every enquiry is confidential and there is no obligation.
Available daily, including weekends and public holidays.

Built on social prescribing. Evolved for recovery.
Social prescribing connects people to activity and support through a link worker. It is established in primary care and has rarely been built systematically into recovery. At Salus it is the spine of the programme: a Recovery Link Worker sits inside the clinical team and prescribes recovery activity alongside treatment, across six dimensions of wellbeing.
Six dimensions. One recovery prescription.
Physical
Movement, sleep, nutrition and medical follow-up
Mental
Psychological therapy, coaching and self-help
Emotional
Arts, music and creative expression
Social
Peer support, mutual aid and family work
Environmental
Housing, debt, employment and green space
Spiritual
Meaning, purpose, faith and culture
Clinical prescription
Individualised, evidence-informed care by qualified professionals: psychological therapy, family work, recovery planning and medication management where indicated.
Living prescription
A co-produced prescription of activity and community participation. Each entry records the need, the intervention, its frequency, the recovery domain, a review date and a measurable outcome.
Stabilise
Safety, assessment, routine, formulation.
Open
Motivation, psychological flexibility, engagement.
Live
Sleep, nutrition, movement, self-care, routine.
Attach
Safe relationships, family, belonging.
Contribute
Agency, responsibility, skills, service.
Evolve
Identity, autonomy, continuing care.
Restore
Connect
Participate
Integrate
Outcome is carried by recovery capital: health, relationships, identity, capability, routine, purpose and community connection. Progression is based on competency and risk, not on length of stay.
Salus is set inside Dash Box Wellness Hotel in Cyberjaya, with its rooms, restaurant, pool, gym and spa. Guests practise recovery inside a working community rather than a closed ward, with clinical information held only by the care team.
